SIRVA Worldwide Relocation & Moving Closing In on 5 Million Meals Donated

It is a startling fact that 42 million Americans face hunger every single day, including 13.1 million children, 5.3 million senior citizens, and 1 in 4 US veterans. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused even more people to fall into food insecurity, and they need support now more than ever.

SIRVA Worldwide Relocation & Moving is proud to partner with Move For Hunger, a national hunger relief non-profit organisation that works with moving companies across the country to collect unwanted, unopened non-perishable food from those who are relocating and deliver it to local food banks across the country. SIRVA, Allied Van Lines, and northAmerican Van Lines have committed with Move For Hunger to fight food insecurity one move at a time.

According to Meg Pais, Executive Vice President of Human Resources, SIRVA Worldwide, “In 2021, SIRVA, Allied Van Lines, and northAmerican Van Lines are proud to have combined to donate another 190,746 meals to those in need. Since the beginning of our partnership with Move For Hunger, SIRVA companies have donated more than 4,981,000 meals across the USA and Canada.”
